Here's a sketch I did at the request of my girlfirend. It's for one of her
nursing instructors.
...I like nurses.

When one of my good pals hangs out with us, he gets wasted and does this
freakish pervert voice to make people feel sick.
He also tries to poke you with his thumb. It's quite disturbing, but at the same time extremely funny
... as long as it's not happening to you.
So I drew this sketch up in hopes that he could see how messed up he looks when he does it.
I think he was disturbed by it.
It honestly happens just the way I have it there.

This last pic is of me and serve's as more of a "shout out" to Mike Myre and the super cool comix he's making these days.

Space Jet's the shiznit.

Here's a link to one of the first eps.
I didn't have a lot of time to do it in, so I have this ,"Awww shit, I shoulda done that instead" feeling whenever I watch it. The scripts I get for these are pretty dry, so any time you laugh even a bit, I think I'll take credit for it. The company I do these for is grateful enough to give me some creative control over what makes it into the script, so as long as I stick to the gist of the first draft, I can put in any gags I come up with along the way.
The term "Gags" I use loosely. -Pretty PG.
Anyways, not bad fer a first go if I may say so.

The company I work for creates
online teaching
tools, programs, and websites for teachers and students.
For the last month er so, I've been working on a series on mini animations for a website that's aim is to make learning math fun and entertaining.
When I was asked to create a little mini show that could support this site, I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Reason being, I fuggin' hate math. I failed it numerous times in highschool. -Ironic I'd get to work so hard on something that contradicts my feelings towards what it teaches.
Anyways, somehow I managed to
pull something out of my hat that
I think might have a bit of potential.
So here's my creation.

I drew this at a Starbucks last week.
I have this weird feeling I saw the image long ago on someone else's blog, though.
None the less, here it is.
Though he's drinking coffee, I've always thought of Skeletor to be more of a
tea drinker when it comes down to it.

I composed this little ditty a few months back and wasn't gonna post it up
for worries that it might get stolen by internet space pirates, but I'm just so damn proud of it, that I'll step out of my neurotic shoes for just a moment to share.
This was 1 of 3 theme songs I wrote for a pilot I'm working on with my friends.
Without giving much detail away, I'll say it's just a fun lil Cop Show, that we've been pouring our time and energy into for the last year and a half.
This particular track was written in one long sitting, using my Mac and my trusty electric guitar.
Enjoy!
It's the most kick-ass thing I've ever written and I'm damn proud of it.

This is a going away gift I did for a fella at work.
It's of the Super Cool, Ol' School WWF Superstar, "The Iron Shiek".
If you ever get the chance, Google up some radio interviews with the guy.
Or even better, Youtube him.

He's fuggin' crazy.

I have often wondered what I might look like as a Platypuss,
drawing a self portrait on a Post-it note, while I should be working instead.

Here's a character line up I designed for a new project at work.
Every now and then they give a little freedom to come up with concepts I think might be cool.
So far, I'm having a blast working on something that's 100% mine.
Well... 100% created by me, but unfortunately not 100% owned by me.
In a way, the idea that I'll never own it, always motivates me to work harder on my own personal projects.
But I won't get into that or else I'll start writing about my bitterness in
"working for the man" instead of myself.
No matter. It's nice when work is fun, so I'm grateful.

This is my friends nephew, Dalen.
I love this picture. It makes me laugh every time I look at it.

It almost makes me laugh as much as I laughed while I was making this animation.

I was in Vancouver last week and I got my hands on a few
copies of Space Jet, a comic done by Mike Myhre, and guests.
(I still owe ya some cash, Mike!)
I really liked them, so I did a few drawings of some
of the more memorable characters they drew.
The comic is hilarious, bizarre and should be checked out by all.
A link to Mike's Space Jet Blog is in my favorites.

... oh yeah... she's totally checkin' you out, dude.

Saw an A&E Documentary on Superman last night.
I really liked the stuff about George Reeves.
I drew this one from memory today, so I'm not sure if this really looks like him er not.
I still kinda like it though.

The biker sketch was done after my project lead told me about something that disturbed her two daughters from the back of their car, this sunny weekend.
...Damn speedo-wearing old people.

Business Bots, folks!

(This one's a personal favorite workflow hindering scenario of mine)

This is one of my good pals's Al, holding an empty version of one of his favorite things.
He once lent me 1000 dollars for rent.
I took forever to pay him back and he never complained once. Nor did he pop my head off with his bicep.
As well, he also at one time, let me crash at his place for a month. Which was awesome because he owned a lot of dvd's I'd never seen, and a lot of comics, I'd never read.
Good friends can be tuff to come by these days.

Who's this?
No idea, but he looks worried about something to his left.

...careful, he knows bad people.

Here's an old drawing of my good buddy, Nathan, saying hello.
He hooked me up with a great job once, and in return I massacred him in this caricature.
He's not half the Ugmo MacUglison that this picture depicts, but alas, I find this way funnier.

Once, I was in Vancouver and I overheard this security guard complaining about his feet.
Later, I rode the Skytrain to train station where I overheard a woman complaining about her heels.
I drew this a half hour later.
...Peripheral hearing is a gift.
...wonder what that fancy gun does.

This here is the good ol' place-o-work, where all the magic happens.
Shhhhhh. Don't wake him.
He's dreaming of the weekend again.
